![]() I can not imagine that I will ever own both synths anytime soon so this is a big financial and time investment for me. I've had two trap metal producers from youtube tell me that Omni is overated and that I'm better off using the cheaper ones but I would like to hear other people's input as well. But if Omni just completely beats Nexus that much then I'd rather wait and invest in the better product or if the Nexus Value 10 is best then I'll choose that. Cost is obviously something to consider as I could get Nexus starter and a guitar vst for less than what omni would cost me. I've heard that both omni and nexus have a ton of presets that everyone raves about but am not sure which one I should go for. Omnisphere is terrific for Dance music and almost any other style, and you will find a library of patches that will take you years to get through. With Omnisphere you can do practically anything but it might take most people longer. It's easy to dial up a good sound that fits in a mix. I'd like a main synth with a large amount of presets. One reason Nexus holds an edge is simplicity. Omnisphere Im sure is like a real synth where you can program it from scratch which is more versatile for someone who knows how to do that. For me this does not matter as I have no idea how to make a synth patch. probably ample sound eclipse, and sugarbytes effectrix. Nexus has great sounds all around, but your stuck editing presets if you want something different. ![]() ![]() This one can take years to explore and opens the door to infinite sound design possibilities. ![]() It boasts a massive sample library, versatile synthesis, an incredibly deep effects section and an amazing interface. I am not big into sound design and would prefer to tweak presets and get into the arrangement mostly. Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 Omnisphere is the self-proclaimed Power Synth and for good reason. I want to make "trap metal" with uncracked plugins and am looking for advice on which of these two-three options would be the most suitable for me. ![]()
